Futbol
I have to tell you I really am trying to give Futbol (or Soccer for you Americans) a chance, but I gotta tell you I just can’t spend over 2 hours watching grown men kick a ball back and forth.
Now I know, many of you Futbol fans, think I don’t get it, and maybe you are right, but I actually watched a game the other day and walked away for 10 minutes and trust me I did not miss one thing. I left the game with guys kicking a ball in mid-field and came back to the TV and they were kicking a ball in midfield, oh and by the way the score was 0-0 which is how the game ended.
I am all for great athletes and respect the game, but don’t see the drama and intensity from a 0-0 tie after two hours. I now know why there are always fights in the stands of games, there is nothing else exciting going on on the field, so the fans have to get some action so they beat the snot out of each other. Oh and they also chant a lot, imagine a chant roaring at Giants Stadium? The guy who started the chant would be hanging from the exit signs on the NJ Turnpike.
So Futbol, sorry but you lost another American sports fan, now I can focus on my new passion indoor lacrosse!
